The Process of Home Staging
"How does it work?"
The Consultation |
The Preparation |
The Showcasing
1. The Consultation:
Hendrik Glastra visits the condo, home, or income property; does a walkthrough (inside and out); prepares a list of the steps to be
undertaken to bring the property up to the desirable level dictated by the target market in the Toronto area. Hendrik will then present to
the homeowner a report of a "to do list" and how to best present and stage the home. It is at this juncture that a decision is made as to the
amount of involvement of both HG Staging and reDesign and the homeowner. Some homeowners choose to put in "sweat equity" under the guidance
of Hendrik Glastra, thereby reducing the cost; or choose a combination of some "sweat equity" and more preparation by HG Staging and reDesign.
The investment in this first step would start at $200 for a 2 to 3 hour session for a space up to 2000 square feet in a house and $150 for a condo up to 1000 square feet.

2. The Preparation:
Dependant upon the decision arrived at by the end of the first step, the homeowner will either commence with the preparation recommended by
Hendrik Glastra or HG Staging and reDesign will proceed with the work that needs to be done; be it: de-cluttering, de-personalizing, cleaning,
decorating, repairing, and re-arranging. HG Staging and reDesign can and will co-ordinate any trades, deliveries, off site storage and rental
of furniture and accessories. The investment in this phase is totally dependent on what has been decided; all that might be needed is some
crack filler and paint!

3. The Showcasing:
HG Staging and reDesign's team will come in and stage the home using the guidelines and standards set by the home staging industry. We will
work with the homeowner's belongings and any rented furniture, art and accessories recommended to complete the setting without taking away
the character and personality of the home. For an investment starting at $450, we will create a home that will flow and generate feelings
of a lifestyle that is of interest to the buyer by giving each of the rooms a function, a focal point and atmosphere. The buyer wants to be
able to see him/her self living there!
